Platinum, Palladium and Rhodium have enduring and uniquely suitable catalyst properties

Active Catalytic Metals
The properties of platinum, palladium, rhodium, ruthenium, and iridium are unique and essential for a variety of applications. No other materials have the unique electrical, chemical, and magnetic properties of the platinum group metals while being capable of withstanding extremely high temperatures and corrosive environments. PGM metals are so ideally suited to their applications that despite their rarity and volatile price history the demand for them is tied to their unique properties
Automotive Catalysts
We are well versed in catalyst science and the technologies of catalyst production, especially for applications where thermal and chemical durability is important: three-way catalysts (TWC) for gasoline engines, diesel oxidation catalysts and particulate filters for diesel engines, all applications requiring highly efficient use of PGM. We maintain a thorough database of gasoline and diesel emission control technologies. New emission standards, such as the Tier 4 diesel engine emission standards require advanced catalytic aftertreatment with significant challenges for packaging and cost. We navigate through complex data to give insight into what technologies should be used on future applications.
We keep our finger on the pulse of new PGM technologies and innovations
